Well guys, I figured with all the younger crowd I'd make a thread specifically for airsoft etiquette.
In NO particular order...
- Always carry a red bandanna. This is the standard for showing you have been hit, or if you are out of game play. Also used when walking on and off the field when game is in play.
- Don't pointlessly hurt people. IE, don't shoot someone in the face just to do it. Remember, these rounds DO hurt. And pretty bad in some places. So think when your shooting... how would I feel if I was on the other end of that.
- Always Call hits
- When someone is not calling hits... keep shooting him rather than make a
big fuss about it (I have literally seen fist fights break out over non hit calls)
- When you get hit... that means shut your mouth bluntly said. Do not tell, signal, point, or do anything to hint, or tell your team even a word. Your dead, so walk back to spawn (unless it's a drop and lay scenario. Then the rule still applies.
- Do not get into physical altercations with other players
- NEVER EVER TOUCH another player unless A: Your friends with them, B: it's an op where you drag the injured off, C: games which require a "tag" to reinstate someone into the game. So things like knife kills... yea.. don't go there. Even if it is a rubber knife. Yet another thing I have seen resulting in a fight.
- Keep the cussing down. Honestly, every other word doesn't need to be a cuss word. Airsofters generally are pretty bad. It's not needed, especially when youth are around.
